schon die ganze zeit ernsthaft gefragt, wie es wohl knapp der hälfte der amerikaner geht, die jetzt mit dem leben müssen, wozu sie die knappe mehrheit gezwungen hat.

(ich mir aber eigentlich auch, wenn ich mir so vorstelle was die oberleuchte dort drüben alles anstellen könnte.)


folgendes gespräch könnte ich mir eigentlich bei der canadischen regierung vorstellen:
minister 1: wir sollten evakuieren!
minister 2: nur wohin?
minister 1: ist eigentlich auf dem südpol noch platz?
minister 2: ja... , ach nö... gehts nicht irgendwie noch weiter weg?

Falls es jemand noch nicht kennt (dies war nach der ersten wahl von bush zum präsidenten, nachdem die canadier bush offiziell einen moron genannt hatten):

I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you, doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper and better than your own. It would be like if, well, say you had ten times the television audeince we did and you flood our market with great shows, cheaper than we could produce. I know you'd never do that.

I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defence I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours. As word of apology, please accept all of our NHL teams which, one by one, are going out of business and moving to your fine country.

I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you want to have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons.

I'm sorry we burnt down your White House during the War of 1812. I see you've rebuilt it! It's very nice.

I'm sorry for Alan Thicke, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Loverboy, that song from Seriff that ends with a really high-pitched long note. Your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer, but we feel your pain.

And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not upset over this. Because we've seen what you do to countries you get upset with.

You're a Winter. You very much enjoy your time alone but do like other people's company sometimes. You just need your space. You have a few priviledged friends who saw past your colder exterior to find the true you. You can have pretty bad mood swings (though you hate to admit it) so you could be soft one second then storming around the next! But over all, you're a very pleasant person once people take the time to get to know you. You're a good friend for in-depth talks. Ich muß sagen, dass dies eine sehr gute beschreibung von mir ist :) und launisch? ICH? never in the life ;)

heute abend noch lustig werden.
wenn ein besuch (die kleine) abgeholt wird, kommt auch schon der nächste (frau ramirez) :)
geht quasi hand in hand.

meine wohnung ist natürlich noch nicht fertig. die kleine hat ihren job (mir nutzlos im weg rumzustehen) wirklich gut gemacht. aber dafür hab ich sie mir ja auch kommen lassen ;)

und schließlich am montag dann ein zweites vorstellungsgespräch mit probearbeitstag, auf das ich mich nicht wirklich freue. denn, wenn es nach dem ersten gespräch mit dem personaler gegangen wäre, hätte ich den job bereits schon.
jetzt gilt es nur noch, dass der cheffe von dem laden mich auch noch mag. hoffen wir also mal, das der genauso cool und locker drauf ist, wie sein personalleiter - ich würde dann den absoluten traumjob haben.

ich bin mir noch immer nicht sicher, ob ich an sternzeichen glauben soll. aber immer, wenn ich mal die in meiner unmittelbaren umgebung revue passieren lasse muß ich feststellen, dass es wohl tatsächlich welche gibt mit denen ich kann und andere mit denen es so überhaupt nicht klappen will.

besonders auffällig ist wohl, dass um mich herum und in besonderer weise erwähnenswert in meinem leben, die meisten stiere sind.
ich komme auf sage und schreibe: 5 (ohne mich)
während die beiden zwillinge in meinem leben, eher eine absolute katastrophe darstell(t)en.

aberglaube, oder doch was dran?

die ich bis jetzt bekommen habe, ist von meiner kleinen (11-jährigen) freundin.
im betreff: help me!!!!
als text die flehende bitte sie aus ihrem windpockenverseuchten elternhaus rauszuholen, ihr sei nämlich dort zum sterben langweilig, denn ausserdem sind ja noch ferien.

habe daraufhin ihre mutter angerufen, die sich krümelig gelacht hat und mir die kleine heute für ein paar tage vorbeibringt :)
